1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Nova application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to all of these terms, you are prohibited from using the service.

2. User Accounts

To use certain features of Nova, you must register for an account via Google Authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. End-User License Agreement (EULA) and Use

Nova grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, educational purposes. This constitutes a standard End-User License Agreement (EULA) as required by the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. You agree not to:

• Modify, copy, or create derivative works based on the app.
• Use the app for any commercial purpose without explicit consent.
• Attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained in the app.
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

4. System Content

Nova uses advanced algorithms to generate study roadmaps and recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the correctness or completeness of system-generated content. Users should verify important information independently.

5. Intellectual Property

The Nova logo, design, software, and original content are the exclusive property of Nova and are protected by international copyright and trademark laws.

6. Limitation of Liability

Nova and its developers shall not be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on Nova's app, even if Nova has been notified of the possibility of such damage.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Nova offers premium features via the "Aspirant" and "Achiever" subscription plans, billed monthly or annually as indicated at checkout. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following billing policies:

• Platform Processing: All transactions are processed securely through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store (iTunes). Payment will be charged to your iTunes Account or Google Play Account at confirmation of purchase. Nova does not directly store or process your financial credentials.
• Automatic Renewal: Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.
• Subscription Management: Subscriptions may be managed by the user, and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings (on the App Store or Google Play) after purchase.
• No Refunds Policy: All subscription purchases are final and non-refundable, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Refunds must be requested directly through official Google Play or Apple App Store billing channels.

8. Nova Sparks & Parental Bounties

Nova features a gamified motivational reward framework known as "Nova Sparks" alongside family-centric coordination features ("Parental Bounties"). Your usage of these features is governed by the following limits:

• No Real-World Monetary Value: "Nova Sparks" are virtual, motivational points designed strictly for educational encouragement and in-app gamification. Sparks have zero cash value, cannot be traded, sold, exchanged, or liquidated for real-world currency, gift cards, or real-world assets of any kind.
• Platform Management: Nova reserves the absolute right to manage, regulate, control, edit, audit, reset, or completely eliminate a user's Sparks balance or the Sparks accumulation rates at our sole discretion, without warning or liability to the user.
• Parental Bounty Disclaimers: The Parental Bounty feature acts solely as a tracking interface to help parents and students organize custom agreements (e.g. tracking study milestones to unlock screen time). Nova is strictly a software provider and is not a party to, nor liable or responsible for, any disputes, transactions, failures, or promised payouts resulting from agreements made between parents and students.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes signifies your acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Apple App Store Additional Provisions

If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, the following terms apply: You acknowledge that these Terms are concluded between you and Nova only, and not with Apple. Nova, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation whatsoever to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your possession and/or use of the app.
